I've just begun reading The Motorcycle Diaries by Che Guevara, on which the amazingly beautiful movie of the same name is based. It's really stirring up in me the longing to travel. Particularly by motorcycle, particularly in South America. His writing is reminding me of the beautiful beautiful scenery of that land, and the kinds of people that you meet. I don't know when something like that will ever happen. I feel like I've lost the will to travel in the US, even though there's so much I want to see. Maybe it's just a phase.
As far as going to Chile, Suzanne and I desperately want to go there when the new Baha'i House of Worship is built in Santiago in the next couple years. We're working on making it happen. We wrote into Oprah on one of the days where you can send in your wildest, most cherished wish and she can make it happen. So, you never know. Pray that Oprah receives our missives with an open heart and open hand...or hand full of money for the trip. Even better.
