Coming up with my presentation on how to see the world through a spiritual lens I thought a lot about the place of anger. I've pretty much decided that it has no place. The other day, though, I dreamt that I was reading a newly translated prayer from the Baha'i writings. I was excited to read it because I find Baha'i prayers to be so poetic, and so spot on that they're really a joy to read on a bunch of different levels. So in this prayer (and being kind of impressed with myself that I could invent a whole prayer all by my unconscious self) I came to this unexpected line-"...and please God, allow to seethe with anger and fury at thine enemies". I was so surprised that I woke up, partly confused, partly laughing. That was a good dream.
P.S. I got some big news coming soon. And it's not what you think it is. Depending on what you think it is.
